Finance student at DePaul University building a verified student marketplace.
My name is Saroop Bhinder, and I am a third-year Finance major at DePaul University. I'm also the Founder & CEO of Udega, Inc., a marketplace platform designed for verified college students.
Cutting hair is also what eventually led me to the idea for Udega. When I first came to college, I had no clients, no reputation, and no real way to let people know I offered haircuts. That's when the idea came to me: create a safer space where verified students can buy, sell, and offer services to each other within their campus community. That idea became Udega.
Saroop Bhinder is the founder and CEO of Udega, a verified student marketplace designed to help college students buy, sell, and offer services within their campus community. He started the company while studying finance at DePaul University after running his own barbering business and seeing firsthand how fragmented and risky student-to-student transactions could be online.
